All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!





 


UPDATE - We are looking for a local adopter.  This group of dogs have had very bizarre physical conditions.  Holly and Laurie passed away in December so we want to keep the rest close so we can keep on top of any medical issues.  Our vet is very familiar with the group and we will handle the cost of the medical care with our vet.  At this point Sandy is healthy but needs a very laid back home with no stress.  She needs to have a canine friend and it must be a small, laid back one.....

My name is Sandy.  I am as sweet as sugar :)  Now can I just tell you I lived with people who didn't believe in getting any of their dogs "fixed" so by the time I was 6 months old I became and "unwed mother"  I have 3 little girls who are adorable and I am very close with my little Laurie as she is the smallest and seems to want to be with me most :)   All my girls are well behaved and my foster mom has promised me they will never have to be "teen moms" like I was YAY!  I'm gentle and loving and boy do I love my friend Holly!  We came in together and we run like the wind in our foster home back yard.
My foster mom is requiring a fence for us so we can have lots of fun running like we like :)  She also says no young kids because I am so small and easily "broken"  So no children under the age of 12 and a more laid back home would be awesome!

Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to 
families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.



 



A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
